WHAT IS INVIOU?
​INVIOU is a platform for registry networks based on distributed ledger technology (Hyperledger Fabric).
The platform allows for commercial documents to be registered across networks and in this way enables financial institutions to provide safe and simple environment by diminishing fraud and friction.
WHAT PROBLEM DOES INVIOU SOLVE?
Fraud and double spending is prevalent in the receivables financing industry, including double financing, inflation, duplicate claims and more. Financiers and insurers currently conduct extensive review processes to combat these types of fraud, creating unnecessary friction.
Additionally, these processes hinder the operability and growth of SMEs. INVIOU is simultaneously solving invoice fraud and reducing friction to improve the accessibility to SMEs.
HOW DOES INVIOU REDUCE FRAUD AND FRICTION?
Our DLT based platform transforms commercial documents into unique encoded digital assets, in an irreversible way that is ultimately preventing data tampering. Data can then be cross refernced against the network without exposing the sensitive data.
In this way, whenever an SME approaches a credit provider to finance an invoice, that credit provider, using a simple API, can check INVIOU to see whether that invoice has been sold, has a lien or is free for financing.
The fraudulent behavior of SMEs selling the same invoice to several lenders will be eliminated once the invoice is recorded on INVIOU’s network, and can only have a lien or sold via the platform and by its rightful owner.
